Generally, the Law Office charges for legal services on an hourly rate basis. The hourly rate depends on the fees customarily charged in the community; the novelty and difficulty of the issues involved; and the skill required to perform the legal service properly. When the Law Offices charges an hourly rate, an estimate of the total cost of services are generally given, and monthly invoices are issued so the client knows what the legal charges are presently.

In some cases a fixed fee basis is employed. Generally this occurs in real estate closing services and title work.

In other matters, the Law Offices employ a contingent fee basis where the Client only pays for legal services upon an agreed recovery or for a agreed result. Generally, this occurs in personal injury litigation.
